Insight Media Solutions
Where did you grow up and where are you based now?
I was lucky enough to grow up in Mornington and have remained a Peninsula girl since!
What did you want to be when you ‘grew up’?
Successful! From fashion designer to business lady, I have always yearned to excel in whatever field I found myself in (which was almost every!). But perhaps that’s what has made me the relatable business source I am today!
When and how did you transition from working for someone else to working for yourself?
I was working in a Social Media agency for a very knowledgeable man that was capable of great things but had no real passion to grow his business or take it to the next level. So naturally, after my countless suggestions and expression of passion to help grow his business weren’t acted upon, my passion and drive led me to handing in my resignation and creating a venture of my own!
What’s your why?
To help fellow businesswomen bring there business dreams to life and help break down barriers getting in their way!
What do you love about what you do?
I love that I get to meet people from all walks off life and help them proceed along their journey. Each any every person I meet has a different goal, a different passion and a different career background therefor I am constantly learning and inspired.
What’s challenged you most since being in business?
In the early stages of my business it was definitely confidence. Confidence I was taking the right steps, confidence in the value of what I had to offer and confidence that I had the ability to succeed on my own. But little did I know, lack of confidence and self-value is one of the key elements that will hold you back.
What are your greatest achievements to date?
Each and every time I see a smile on my clients face when they see their business dreams coming to life. There is nothing more humbling and rewarding then knowing you’ve had the privilege of helping someone else achieve their goals.
What are some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
To back your self – every single step of the way and as Lisa Messenger once said, “Once you become fearless, life becomes limitless”.
The moment I was able to truly believe that the only thing that could stop me from reaching my dreams was little voice in my head telling me I couldn’t was the moment I started pushing my self to the next level.
What are some resources you or your business can’t live without?
Canva, Schedugram, my diary and my incredibly talented in-house Copy Writer and Graphic Designer. Oh and coffee! Lots and lots of coffee!
What advice would you give someone wanting to start their own business or change jobs to an industry/role that they’d love?
Just do it! You live once, so why not live it doing something you love! If you have passion, commitment, confidence and persistence – you can do anything you put your mind to.
What’s something most people wouldn’t know about you?
I’m a big over thinker and my mind never turns off. But, perhaps that why I’m constantly flooded with ideas?
What does your ideal day look like?
Waking up to a view of the rainforest, enjoying a cup of coffee, sorting through my emails (its not work when its something you love) and going to a wellness or networking seminar where I can be inspired with likeminded creative or business people. And… coming home to a butler to cook me dinner and pour me a glass of wine definitely wouldn’t go a stray! Haha
What’s one of your favourite quotes?
“Create a life you don’t need a holiday from”.
Who or what inspires you?
I’m inspired by a lot of things! From successful business women/men willing to share their journey, to health and wellness enthusiasts to anyone with a dream and the passion to achieve it! If you fill your life with positivity and goals, you’re already my inspiration!
Anything you’d like to add?
One of my favourite things to do in my spare time is network. I absolutely love meeting new people and getting to know their stories so please, feel free to reach out to me for a chat anytime! I would love to get to know you.
