How to trick your body into being healthy (it’s easier than you think!)

Let’s be honest – we’re all busy.

And seeing as we’re on this honesty journey, let’s also truthfully admit to being a little slack with keeping up with what’s important for our health and wellbeing in order to finish that little bit of extra work we have.

It could be that memo your boss wanted on her desk yesterday to keeping that promise you made your kid about helping them complete their science project two months ago.

Either way, taking care of yourself has suddenly dropped a notch or two on your Must-Do list this week and you’re pushing it back another week.

For the fifteenth time this month – yikes!

Why am I rubbing salt in your wounds?

I promise you I’m not getting any enjoyment from this.

What I do want to do is get you back on track so you can keep that promise you should be making with your body and its health easily, quickly, and best of all naturally.

Yoga doesn’t always have to be time consuming or shock horror – expensive …

Contrary to popular belief, that is.

Many associate yoga with spiritual discoveries, sun-kissed beaches, relaxing lagoons and most importantly, abundant leisure time but the truth is, yoga doesn’t just have to be “a nice routine to have as part of my daily regime when I retire” sort of thing.

It can often times be done in about two minutes flat. Ponder on that, taking care of yourself for life in two minutes, twice a day? Imagine the possibilities.

Mind officially blown.

This is a good Segway into the wondrous world of Turmeric.

The benefits of this spice are so amazing, it’s no wonder it’s being heralded as one of the biggest things to have hit the natural craze this decade.

Turmeric is so beneficial, it has been used for centuries in the Indian subcontinent, particularly by Ayurvedic and Yoga practitioners for thousands of years so I’d bet my bottom dollar that you’ll be hard pressed to find a more stellar resume.

Turmeric is widely known to be one of Mother Nature’s miraculous healing cures and has a wide array of health benefits. Ongoing studies speculate that it may be extremely beneficial in debilitating ailments including, but not limited to, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, diabetes, allergies and more.

Now that you’re convinced, here’s how you make this part of your everyday diet …

Used throughout the ages as a potent anti-inflammatory resource by the ancient Indian & Chinese civilisations, turmeric is also known as an effective treatment measure for inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, cystic fibrosis, and as a potential preventative resource for childhood inflicted leukaemia.

It is also known to improve liver and cardiovascular functions alongside lowering cholesterol.

Now that you’re convinced, here are some easy as pie ways to make this “gift of nature” spice part of your day

Turmeric is a fine addition to curries, egg and vegetable rice due to its warm, slightly bitter and peppery flavoured taste and recently science has confirmed that cooking with the spice is when it is at its most beneficial so cook, boil and steam away.

But if you’re not a curry person, don’t fret.

You’re still covered.

Apart from the many Turmeric Chai Lattes you can purchase in most Cafes nowadays, Yogi’s will often mix a teaspoon of turmeric in a glass of milk until it boils. Drink this concoction twice a day (add some honey if you can’t get used to the flavour) and keep arthritis and inflammation at bay forever. It’s as simple and quick as that! As a bonus tip, make sure to add some freshly ground black pepper to the mixture for extra and better absorption capabilities.

Because you’re obviously a Turmeric fan now, here’s an added extra Bonus Tip just for you.

See how we take care of you!

Next time you cut yourself and you can’t stop the bleeding, sprinkle a bit of Turmeric on the open wound and watch the blood stop instantly, just like magic.

Though I’m sure you can’t wait to go out and buy some Turmeric right now, make sure you ask your medical practitioner before adding Turmeric to your diet as it may interfere with certain medications and medical conditions.

Also, try and source an organic Turmeric (or better yet, a Hand pounded Certified Organic version) in order to get the best nutrients and properties of this mindboggling spice exactly the way Mother Nature intended – without all the damaging effects of heat and cold processing.

So there you have it! Two ultra-easy ways to stay healthy all year round.
